Danita believes a senior living community should truly feel like home
Danita a Durham NC native is a dedicated senior living professional whose career began as a CNA and has grown through her commitment to compassionate care, accountability, and excellence. She joined in 2017 as a Memory Care Manager and later advanced to Resident Care Manager before stepping into her role as Executive Director. Danita believes a senior living community should truly feel like home—a place where residents are treated with dignity, respect, and the same compassion she would want for her own loved ones. She leads by example, emphasizing high standards, attention to detail, teamwork, and pride in the community. For Danita, exceptional senior living is about more than providing care. It is about creating a welcoming community with heart, where residents feel valued, families feel confident, and team members take pride in making a difference every day.

Her passion for staying active carries into the workplace, where she enjoys encouraging her team to get moving, have fun, and work toward being as healthy as possible together.
Medina Bell is a dedicated senior living professional whose career began as a CNA before advancing to Med Tech and then Supervisor-in-Charge (SIC). Her hard work and commitment to the community did not go unnoticed, and when an opportunity arose in the business office, Medina’s name was recommended, leading her to step into the role of Business Office Manager. Known for her compassion, dependability, and willingness to go above and beyond, she believes in treating every resident with the same care and respect she would give her own family.
Outside of work, Medina loves spending time with family and friends, traveling whenever she gets the chance, trying new foods, and being outdoors and active as much as possible. Her passion for staying active carries into the workplace, where she enjoys encouraging her team to get moving, have fun, and work toward being as healthy as possible together.

Tawana brings compassion, dedication, and a genuine desire to care for others into everything she does
Tawana Coleman has dedicated the past 15 years to healthcare, beginning her career as a PCA before quickly advancing to Med Tech because of her desire to do more for the residents she served. She joined The Stratford seven years ago as a Med Tech and continued growing into leadership, becoming LSIC, Memory Care Manager, and ultimately Resident Care Coordinator (RCC), where she now leads the clinical department. A goal she spoke about for years—working alongside Danita as Executive Director and Medina as Business Office Manager while she led clinical—became a reality when she accepted the RCC position. Outside of work, Tawana is a proud mother of twin girls who are the driving force behind everything she does. She enjoys supporting them at band performances and ROTC activities, cooking and trying new recipes, and fostering animals in need. Whether caring for her residents, supporting her team, or spending time with her daughters, Tawana brings compassion, dedication, and a genuine desire to care for others into everything she does.

During this time, she discovered a passion for working with the older generation
Sarah Apple is the Life Enrichment Coordinator here at the Stratford and has been here for almost a year. She began her career while still in high school when she took on a part-time activity assistant position at the nursing home where her grandpa lived. During this time, she discovered a passion for working with the older generation. After being encouraged by her former boss to pursue her activity director certification, she began the classes and gained her official certification in November 2025. She loves her job and bringing joy to the residents lives each day by providing life enriching activities.
